Less than three weeks until Thanksgiving!
Doesn’t that turn your bonnet inside out? Fear not! Here is a yummy and simple recipe to take to a gathering. It will draw rave reviews!
And, found some great clearance items last year for Thanksgiving so I can give one of you who comments a kitchen-themed giveaway. (Don’t worry, I bought the chocolate-covered cranberries this year!)
First, the recipe:
Two blocks cream cheese, softened
4 C. powdered sugar
30 ounces canned pumpkin (not pumpkin pie mix)
2 t. cinnamon
1 t. ginger
Place in a small pie pumpkin (not a jack-o-lantern pumpkin) that has had the top cut off and been hollowed out. Serve with gingersnaps. Can also serve with apple slices, graham crackers or vanilla wafers, but the gingersnaps are the best.
Now for the giveaway:
~ A Baking Made Simple cookbook
~ A Paula Deen To-Do list magnetic pad
~Some chocolate-covered cranberries
~ A nostalgic, hand-stitched sign that hangs on the wall or has a little stand to sit on a desk or mantle. It reads: We give thanks for unknown blessings already on their way.
Leave us a comment with your Thanksgiving plans. Are you hosting? Traveling? Serving in a soup kitchen?
One winner will be chosen randomly and announced Monday.
Have a blessed weekend!
