A few years back, while waiting in the airport after our Proverbs 31 She Speaks conference, I met a cute redheaded woman. Her name was Cindy.
She had been at the conference and was flying home to her home state of Michigan which is where I reside too.
Since that time, I have gotten to know her and her crazy, wild story that includes going from being a cocaine addict to being a fabulous Bible teacher.
Seriously.
She is a walking portrait of the transforming power of God.
Her smile is contagious. Her passion for God and ministering to women is inspiring.

As a member of Carol Kent’s Speak Up team, Cindy loves encouraging women to use their gifts for Kingdom purposes. Her most recent project is a video driven Bible study titled “Red Hot Faith” with RBC Ministries, recently filmed on site in Ancient Laodicea. Look for ”Red Hot Faith” Spring 2013.

I would love to see this DVD for myself as I struggle sometimes with faith in the midst of storms; it’s not that I lose it, but more that I forget my blessings and to be mindful of all I do have rather than what I want and feel I’m missing. I’d also love to share it with a few close friends struggling with some tough things in their daily lives.
I would share it with my m-i-l who lost a grown daughter to cancer last year and is really struggling with it.
I would share this with my family…..we have just come through almost 5 long, difficult years and have so much more faith now than ever before…..this would be an “affirming” blessing to each of my seven children, AND their parents:)
I would share this with my mom – to be able to share the true peace of God, so that she would see it in a whole new light.
I would share the DVD study with my fellow Bible study ladies… we are a part of a large mixed gender Life Group but have often talked about doing an additional ladies only study on the side… this sounds like it could touch many of us right now.

I would love to be able to share this with my girlfriend who is really struggling with self esteeme and where she is in life! She is divorced and is having a really hard time adjusting to life and all that her previous husband put her through! I’d share with one of my best friends daughter. She is 21 and has made some really, really bad decisions lately – but, I just heard that she’s been alcohol free for almost a month!! YAY! I have several other people in mind to share with too…… thanks for sharing!!

I would share it with my step-daughter who recently suffered a miscarriage.
I would share it with an unmarried pregnant gal who at present is completely floundering in life. She has struggled with low self-esteem, depression, and an eating disorder in the past.
I would share the DVD with my little sister and my favorite sparkly thing at the moment is my little girl’s new dance costume for summer recital, she looks adorable (and still like a 5 year old – gotta love that!)!
I would share this with our ladies group and encourage them to reach out to all walks of life. God can change anyone.
I would share her DVD with a few women I know going through very stressful time finding out their hubbys are addicted to drugs and Porn for most of their marriages and the wives had no idea and are devastated. I believe her Dvd can bring peace to them as well!!
It sounds like something to add to the library of our Women’s Ministry, a rescource that can be directed to whichever woman is is need at the moment. We regularly enjoy DVD’s from God’s faithful servants. And we keep them on hand when we find someone who needs the encouragement and comfort of sisters who have “been there” and are not testimonies of God’s power.
And are NOW testimonies of God’s power. (I thought I read that before I submitted it!)

I would share it with the oldest daughter who is away from God at the moment. I pray daily for the Shepherd to seek her out and draw her back into the fold. My daughter needs peace for the addictions in her live and I want God’s peace for the hard struggles in our lives.
Gosh – I can think of SEVERAL people I would love to share this with, but, really, who wouldn’t benefit??!
I would share with my sisters. We lost our mom to pancreatic cancer under some awful family circumstances. We still struggle with the horrible things that happened.

Her husband lost his job, they both have diabetes, her oldest son has been serving in Afganahistan, her middle son is going through a divorce. She is depressed all the time. I try so hard to keep her spirits up but at times I run out of ideas. I would share this DVD with her!

I would love to share this dvd with others. I like to get ones that I think would help the most people, then share them at church, loan them to other groups or small groups. I have a desire to share with hurting women in prison, but so far that has not happened. In the mean time, there are hurting women every where, and many go to church! May God bless you for helping others in this way! My most favorite sparkle is in the eyes of children! ?

I would share this my husbands aunt G. A year ago last Sunday, her only son (32) was brutally murdered. This year, last Monday, her husband, the kids’ Dad divorced her for his first wife. She’s got diabetes and is terribly depressed, filling her days with nothing constructive. She needs to hear and believe how very much God loves her.

I definitely would share it with my son who has gone through some difficult times in his past – the story being very familiar to Cindy’s. There has been a lot of healing, but he still struggles with low self-esteem.

One of my dearest friends is struggling with her relationship with her last living relative – her sister – who is addicted to pain killers. She is at low point and this is exactly what she needs to help her see the hope and that our Saviour can bring and the change He can orchestrate when we let go and let Him.
I would share with my daughter in particular as we navigate this journey of my breast cancer. While I can see God’s presence from the beginning, she is struggling. When we’re finished I would pass it to a local minister working with addicted and homeless women.

I would first share it with my mom. She was raised in an emotionally/verbally abusive home and after 60+ years is still battling the bondage that comes from that. She is currently really struggling with some storms in her marriage and issues between her and her youngest son. She could use some encouragement. I would then share it with some friends, including one who is a single mom currently battling cancer.

I would love to share this with our youth leaders. My husband is a youth pastor and one of our most important parts of the ministry is leading and supporting the leaders that help us out. Sometimes they miss out on “big church” things, small groups, or just other relationships because of how often and MUCH they pour into our teens. I would love to use this with the ladies!
