Simply leave a comment on today’s tip of the day. It is this:
Begin now to stuff the stockings.
Look for small items on clearance end caps and mark down bins. Each time you are in a department or grocery store between now and the big day, do a quick check for anything that will work. Even gas stations and convenience stores.
I’ve already gotten two things for each of my kids and they were 75-90% off!
Gathering items little by little will save you from that Yuletide YIKES! panic run to the store on Christmas Eve.
Oh come one….you know you’ve done it! (I usually had to do it to “even up” the stocking because I had too much for one child and not enough for the others!)
If you’d like more short-cut Christmas tips along with holiday recipes, decorating ideas, clever gift-giving suggestions, devotional material and lots of holiday organizing strategies to help you have a hassle-free holiday, get a hold of our ebook Untangling Christmas. It will be the best $5.99 you ever spent & will help you actually feel blesses at the holidays, not stressed!
Now, what is the best stocking stuffer you ever gave or received? Or, is there a traditional item you always have in stockings each year at your house?
Our kids always get a cellophane bag tied shut with curly ribbon with their favorite flavor combination of jelly bellies from the bulk store. One gets a fruit mixture of peach and pear; one a “cocktail” mixture of strawberry daiquiri and pina colada (don’t worry–she’s 21 ;-)) and our youngest gets peanut butter & grape jelly.
Now, how about you?
