Storms, Fried Green Tomatoes and Golf Carts

I don’t usually travel and speak much in the summer besides our Proverbs 31 She Speaks conference. But, this month I have two trips.

Last week I got to hang out with some fabulous women in Peachtree City, GA. Their morning and evening women’s Bible studies are doing my LET. IT. GO. curriculum this summer so they had me come spend the day with them. {The book is on how to stop trying to control and start trusting God.}

It was fun.

I ate a fried green tomato.

And, I saw golf carts. Lots of golf carts.

The town even has parking spaces for golf carts.

People even drive their golf carts through the drive through at the Chick-Fil-A!

The sweet woman, Miss Ashley, who booked me to speak is even the wife of a former PGA golfer. {I was given a wonderful gift basket of peach and peanut goodies from the Georgia crops and—-for my boys and dad? Golf balls from this former pro!}

Now I am headed back South to Little Rock, Arkansas. I’m not speaking there. I’m recording a show for FamilyLife Today with Dennis Rainey and Bob Lepine. {So excited!!}

Well, I am headed there if my flight doesn’t keep getting canceled and pushed back {Midwest storms expected. On hold for over 45 minutes twice with the airlines. UGH!}

I hope there are sunny skies where you are.  Enjoy your day :-)
