Family Life Today Broadcast

photo-136So I wrote this little devotion last Friday called God is Not Worried.

No sooner had it gone live than my 84 year-old mother-in-law fell and broke her hip. None of her five children could get to her (most live several states away and the only other one in Michigan is my sister-in-law who is battling stage four bone cancer)

So, I canceled speaking at a retreat (they were so very gracious and watched my LET. IT. GO. DVD series instead and even spent time praying for my mom-in-law) and I headed to be with her for two days for her surgery until my hubby could get there.

The surgery went well and she is resting in the hospital for a few days before she moves to a rehab center. (Prayers appreciated. Her name is Shirley)

This morning, I am headed to Houston for a quick 1 day trip. And today through Wednesday my broadcast on Family Life Today with Dennis Rainey and Bob Lepine airs. You can listen on the radio or on their website by clicking here.

I’ll be back later this week.

  1. I am saying a prayer for Shirley, I am sure she is glad you were able to be with her. My aunt broke her hip last year and it has been a long, slow recovery.

  2. I am so very sorry about your mother-in-law Shirley, I will pray for her recovery and success in rehabilitation. I will keep your sister-in-law in my prayers as well as you and your families.
