I can hardly contain my enthusiasm. I mean seriously. I screamed out loud a few days ago while poking around on Etsy on my Ipad one evening. The reason????
My favorite planner EVER (that had ceased being produced) IS BACK!!!
Once upon a time, I blogged here about a planner made by a woman named Emmy. Emmy closed up shop about 6 years ago or so and I began searching again for a planner to keep on my desk that worked for me. Although I do have a Google calendar, I just LOVE writing in a paper planner and seeing it all day with my week spread out before me–in a vertical daily layout. (I think of my day from top to bottom, not side to side.)
I looked. And looked. I tried ones from the department store. Then another from the office supply store. Then I ordered a couple off of Etsy. But each year I missed my favorite planner on earth.
THEN….after trying once more to hunt down Emmy to see if she’d ever changed her mind and started her business back up, I discovered that her sister Molly has an Etsy shop WITH PLANNERS DESIGNED BY EMMY!!!!!!!!
I reached out to the fabulous Miss Molly. I grabbed a planner–customized with the cover and personalization I wanted. (The cover I chose had feathers on it so I had my name and a Bible verse about feathers put on the cover.) And now folks, I am back in the swing of things. I just truly love this tool—along with the other items she sells—and I found out when I reached out to her that she loves my books and was so happy I’d contacted her. So, we’re just spreading the love around to include you too!
A few aspects I love about this planner: the pages are sturdy paper, perfect for writing and even highlighting. I use highlighters to signal certain things. Green means “gone” so those are the days I am away from home speaking. Or in the case of this month, when my hubby and I (who rarely go away alone) go to a bed and breakfast with a Groupon we found for an overnight.
I also love that on the fabulous week-at-a-glance sections, there is a bottom square. I use it to record evening tasks (I use a notebook for the work I need to accomplish during the day) and also what I hope to serve for supper. Notice I said “hope”. Also notice that this week I cooked a huge meal for my son’s birthday on Tuesday so there are a few leftovers days planned.
Especially nice about this planner too? A small sticky note is the perfect width to fit in the column of a day. I use these to jot down items I need to add to my grocery list. Then I can grab it and stick it to the main grocery list that hangs in my kitchen before heading out the door to shop.
Ahhh!!! I just adore this useful tool!
