This past year I have been absolutely obsessed with all things lavender. Lavender lattes, lavender french macarons, lavender lemonade, lavender everything.

It all started when I tried a lavender latte at a local coffee shop a few years back. I had never heard of a lavender latte and was intrigued. I was feeling extra brave that morning and decided to satisfy my curiosity and order the floral confection.

I’ll be honest, my very first thought as I took those initial sips was that I was straight up drinking a flower and I didn’t quite know how I felt about it. By the end of the cup I was completely enamored and already longing for more.

Dozens and dozens of lavender lattes later, I found myself completely addicted and needing a cheaper way to continue my delicious habit. This is where this super simple lavender syrup recipe comes to the rescue!

It is a breeze to make, you can use it in oodles of other creative ways, and it gives you a little slice of heaven right at home.

All You Need Is:

1 cup sugar
1 cup water
2 Tbsp dried lavender buds (culinary grade)

Simply put all the ingredients into a small pot, bring to a boil, let simmer until all the sugar has dissolved, and then set aside and let it fully cool.

Once the simple syrup has fully cooled, strain out the lavender buds, pour into air tight glass jars, and refrigerate. The mixture will stay delicious for a month or more!

From start to finish this recipe takes less than five minutes to make, it yields 1 ¼ cup of simple syrup, is less than a dollar to make, and tastes absolutely heavenly. Swoon.
