  1. I like being able to control what ingredients I put in my food; especially sodium and sugar. love the oatmeal idea of pre-packaging; saves on calories and sugar; they put so much sugar in the ones you buy in store sometimes. thank you

  2. Just clicked over here from Proverbs 31. This is really neat and I am looking forward to making some of the homemade mixes.

  3. Thank you so much for the recipes……I can’t wait to get started making the mixes. Very excited to try the instant oatmeal. God Bless.

  4. I have been worrying a lot about how we are going to make ends meet. We got too used to my husband working overtime and now his paychecks are $200 less. This devotion spoke to me this morning. Thank you for the encouragement!

  5. Thank you as always for these great opportunities! Praying for you daily as you reach out to others in ministry as you serve Jesus Christ!

  6. I love the oatmeal packet idea. I have never made my own packets, but I am going to start with this one. Thanks so much. I look forward to checking back often.

  7. I would love to hear more about making mixes for quick and easy cooking. This sounds like FUN, very economical and ready for the unexpected. Thanks…I am looking forward to hearing MORE!!

  8. Looking forward to seeing more! We have access to a dry cannery at our church and I am always looking for something different to “save” for a rainy day. I pray God will bless us and open our eyes and hearts as we learn and that He will multiply and grow our efforts as we begin to act on what we learn here!

    1. This is right done my alley! So many things you can do and you can find them all online from greAt ladies! Thx! I love your ministry!!!

  9. Thanks for all the great info. I do buy many mixes with coupons, but sometimes run out and this is better than full price.

  10. I have already been making my own oatmeal packets and I love those. Thank you for all the other ideas of make ahead items.

  11. Thank you for the very practical ways of saving cents. I agree using or preparing from scratch is much much cheaper especially that we don’t use coupons in our country, the Philippines. I have a larger family consisting of my spouse, my four boys, two nephews, three nieces & four to ten hungry students. I used this recipe:
three cups sifted flour, 1.5 tablespoon baking powder for every cup of flour, 3/4 cup sugar, 2 eggs, 1 teaspoon vanilla & 2 tablespoon margarine. Mix the dry ingredients well. cream the margarine to soften, then add sugar, then beat the eggs in it. alternately spoon the dry ingredients with 2 1/2 cups water. add the vanilla. Cook in hot frying pan.
