Two Fabulous Fall Challenges {One for Your Home~One For Your Health}

Don’t miss the giveaway near the end of this post!

I wanted to let you know about two fabulous challenges that are going on this fall. Both of them are being done by good friends of mine who are bloggers. We hang out online often, but only in person once a year or so. Here are some pics of our blogger gang at our retreat last summer at a villa in Ohio.

The first challenge is for your home. Courtney from Women Living Well does an encouraging challenge each year called Making Your Home a Haven.

The 6th Annual Making a Home a Haven Challenge at WomenLivingWell.org

Each week she will give you one practical tip and one spiritual tip that you can do to create a haven in your home.

And the second one is for your physical and spiritual health. My friend Clare Smith is doing a Living and Active health and fitness challenge over at her place.

Her goal and passion is to get you into God’s Word which holds the keys to getting us Living & Active! There is both a body and soul element to this challenge.

  1. I am challenging my whole inner self this year, after 12yrs as a stay at home mom, and now 3 hrs to myself a day while kiddos are in school, I feel I am slowly learning about myself all over again, my likes my needs, gods purpose for me, and slowly learning its okay to take care of myself and have wants to ( this has always been a challenge for me as a mom). Im stepping out of my comfort zone trying to exercise and starting a lil blog not fancy just slowly learning my way through. I would love to win something that challenges me personally, because along the way of motherhood I lost myself.

  2. I am really excited about BOTH of these challenges! My fall has already seemed overly hectic, and I want my home to be a place of peace and love. I have also had every intention of getting into a regular exercise routine, so this is the perfect opportunity to do that. Thank you for sharing these with us!

  3. Having just had a brain surgery for removal of 2 tumors and I have 5 weeks and they will have another scan. Reevaluate and I will need another surgery to remove two tumors on right cerebellum. My neurosurgeon just looked at me and said, “Be Extra healthy!,” thus, whichever challenge book would most helpful for my husband, 3 year old and I. Thanks and God bless you!!

  4. It’s funny that I found this today, I was just thinking of my new daughter-in-law that says she likes to be at my home more than hers because my home makes her feel safer and I remembered feeling the same way as her many years ago when I first got married. She is a very young new bride (21) and I would love to share this her, she has a desire to get to know God better and I would love to provide away for her to make her own home feel the way she says mine does. Thank you for wonderful gifts :)

  5. I will be doing both challenges, but the fitness one really encourages me. I love fall, but as it gets colder – I find it is hard to get outside and move or walk. I’m excited to see new ideas on getting fit

  6. Actually, both challenges interest me. I have been trying to increase my exercise and make exercise more routine in my life and so the thought of accountability and encouragement in this is a huge draw…not to mention the encouragement in daily time in the Word! Courtney’s challenge also interests me because I feel like life with 3 little people in the midst of homeschooling is taking a toll on the peace and refuge that I long for our home to be….so, I would be hard pressed to say which challenge intrigues me most….I’m thinking I’ll do both!

  7. Women Living Well has been onmy Amazon wishlist for a while! Looks like a great book! I’m interested in both challenges. :) I am super interested in fitness/health and would like Clare’s challenge as well.

  8. I am interested in both! I am trying to get back in shape after having my third child. I attend church and bible study but sometime the hustle and bustle of juggling work and 3 kids along with activities it’s hard to get downtime to actively seek God’s word at home. I think both challenges will help me with that. I would really like to work on our home being a haven for my husband and kids. I know he gets frustrated with how busy we are and that we don’t have a lot of downtime. These challenges wil help me focus on making time at home for the Word and help me physically as well as emotionally.

  9. This both look great!!! I love books and am always up for a challenge. It really keeps me motivated!!! And fall is the best time of the year to start!!!

  10. I am interested in both. Both me physically and my house are in need of a refresh. The last year has been so hard.

  11. I am interested in the Living & Active Challenge as it encompasses more than the physical aspect. I had signed up the other day to be a part of the challenge and am interested in having the guide to go along with it. Thank you!

  12. I was unsure which of these challenges I needed more, and then I felt my waistband cut into my side – guess it’s the Living and Active Challenge for me! I have stopped and started a fitness regime for most of 2015. It is time to get busy, strive for consistency and see this thing THROUGH! ;)

  13. I would love to do the making your home a haven challenge.
I’m constantly looking for ideas to make my place more inviting and a place that is warm and represents God well.

  14. For me the Living Fit Challenge I am a fit person but finding it challenging to get back into it after having baby number 8 at 41 just 5 weeks ago :)

  15. Both interest me but the fitness one more so. I was just thinking this morning that I really need to figure out a way to get active again, so this challenge and blog post is very timely for me!
